At BizSaar (operated by BizSaar Technologies), we respect the privacy of Indian business owners, shopkeepers, and customers. This Privacy Policy transparently explains what categories of information are collected, how data is processed, how security is maintained, and how you can exercise your data ownership and deletion rights when using the BizSaar mobile application, web portal, and associated services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and process only the categories of information necessary to provide billing, ledger, inventory, and business management services, strictly where actually utilized in the application:

• Account & Authentication Information: Mobile phone number utilized for OTP (One-Time Password) sign-in, account creation, and session authentication via Firebase Phone Authentication. Passwords are not stored.
• Business Profile Information: Business name, shopkeeper/owner name, business category, business address, contact email (if provided), and GSTIN (if voluntarily entered by the user for GST invoice formatting).
• Customer & Supplier Records: Names, contact numbers, and transaction notes entered directly by the business user to maintain ledger balances and deliver digital invoices.
• Khata & Ledger Records: Credit and debit entries, transaction amounts, payment dates, settlement records, and customer balance histories created by the user.
• Invoice & Billing Data: Item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, discounts, GST tax classifications (CGST/SGST/IGST), bill numbers, and payment modes generated within the app.
• Inventory & Product Data: Product titles, stock quantities, barcode identifiers, purchase/sale pricing, and low-stock threshold configurations.
• Notes: Manual text notes, todo lists, reminders, and user-initiated AI/voice notes created by the user.
• Staff Information: Staff names, mobile numbers, roles, and attendance records (where the staff management module is enabled by the business owner).
• Device Permissions (Used on-demand only):
  • Camera: Used on-demand solely for barcode scanning, product photo capture, and QR scanning when initiated by the user. Continuous or background camera access is never performed.
  • Storage / Media: Used to save generated PDF invoices, export spreadsheets, and cache temporary app assets locally on the device.
  • Location: Requested solely when the business owner enables geofenced staff attendance check-ins. Background location tracking is not conducted.
  • Microphone / Audio: Activated solely when the user voluntarily taps the voice recording button for AI Voice Assistant or Voice Smart Notes features.
• Device & Technical Telemetry: Device model, OS version, app version, network status, crash logs, and security telemetry necessary for authentication, security enforcement, and application stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is utilized solely for lawful business operations and service delivery:

• Generating digital GST and non-GST invoices, thermal receipts, estimates, and purchase orders.
• Maintaining digital Udhar Khata ledgers, customer credit tracking, and transaction records.
• Tracking stock levels, low-stock warnings, and barcode-based inventory lookups.
• Facilitating optional WhatsApp invoice sharing and UPI payment QR links.
• Synchronizing and backing up business records to secure cloud infrastructure where cloud sync is enabled.
• Processing AI and voice requests when the user voluntarily uses AI-assisted features (BizSaar does not train models on your private customer ledger data).
• Managing staff rosters and attendance records where enabled by the shop owner.
• Authenticating accounts, preventing fraud, and enforcing security controls.
• Providing customer support and handling account or data deletion requests.
• Serving relevant in-app advertisements via Google AdMob to users on the FREE plan.

3. Advertising Disclosure (Google AdMob)

BizSaar provides core business tools under a freemium model:

• Users on the FREE Plan (₹0) may see advertisements served through Google AdMob.
• Subscribers to the BASIC and PRO membership tiers enjoy an ad-free experience as an active membership entitlement.
• Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, advertising IDs, and app usage data in accordance with Google's applicable policies. For further details on Google's advertising practices, review Google's Privacy & Terms.
• No Data Selling: BizSaar does NOT sell, rent, or trade your private customer ledger, billing details, invoices, or business records to advertisers or third-party data brokers.

4. In-App Subscriptions (Google Play Billing)

All paid subscriptions for Android application features (Basic and Pro tiers) are purchased and billed exclusively through Google Play Billing. BizSaar does not directly collect, process, or store credit card, debit card, or banking credentials on this website. Subscription validation tokens and entitlement status are processed securely to activate your paid tier benefits and remove advertisements.

5. Data Security & Controls

We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect your business information:

• Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS / TLS protocols.
• User sessions and phone verifications are secured using Firebase Authentication.
• Cloud-hosted data in Google Cloud Firestore is safeguarded with server-side security rules ensuring access is restricted strictly to authenticated and authorized accounts.
• Administrative backend access is governed by least-privilege role controls.

Disclaimer: While we employ rigorous technical measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely unhackable or 100% secure. Users are responsible for keeping their mobile device access and verification OTPs confidential.

6. Data Ownership & User Responsibility

You and your business retain complete ownership and control over all business data, customer ledgers, inventory listings, and invoices entered into BizSaar. You are responsible for ensuring that all data entered is accurate, lawful, and compliant with applicable commercial and tax regulations. BizSaar provides business software tools and does not independently audit user-entered records.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account remains active to provide continuous cloud synchronization and bookkeeping services. We may also retain certain information as necessary to comply with applicable statutory, tax, or legal accounting requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our service agreements.

8. Account & Data Deletion Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your BizSaar account and associated cloud data at any time:

• You may initiate account deletion directly within the Android App Settings.
• Alternatively, you may submit a request through the website's dedicated Delete Account Portal.
• Verified deletion requests permanently purge your account profile, cloud-synchronized Bahi Khata entries, customer ledgers, invoices, inventory records, notes, and staff records.
• Irreversible: Once the deletion process is finalized, purged cloud data cannot be restored.
• Statutory Retention: Certain historical billing or tax records may be retained where required by applicable law.
